The New York Chapter of the American College of Health Care Administrators is pleased to announce that Joseph Dilal, III, administrator of Aaron Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center (Fairport, NY) has been named the Administrator of the Year. After working in nursing homes part time during high school and college in the food service and building maintenance departments, Mr. Dilal began his career in nursing home administration in 1984 at Brae Loch Manor on the corner of Lake Avenue and Seneca Parkway in the city of Rochester.

In 2001, the ownership of Brae Loch Manor and its sister facility, Nor Loch Manor, decided to combine the facilities into one building in Fairport, NY. Mr. Dilal has continued to serve as the facility administrator ever since.

Over his career, Mr. Dilal has served on many local, State and National committees and workgroups. Locally, he has been the President of the Genesee Health Facilities Association (GHFA) twice (also serving as its treasurer secretary and Vice President). Statewide, He has served on the New York State Health Facilities Association’s (NYSHFA) legislative, payment for services, and convention committees and currently sits on their board of directors. Joe also participates in the annual legislative day for NYSHFA and the American Health Care Association in Albany and Washington, D.C. respectively.
