Case Mix Update

Carl J. Pucci and Stephen Hanse

Pursuant to our preliminary injunction, DOH will revert to the January 1, 2019 rates, (retroactive to July 1, 2019), which will go live in upcoming Medicaid Cycle #2207 (check release date 12/25/2019).  DOH has removed the two-week eMedNY lag for cycle #2207, as such, the targeted payment date will now be December 11, 2019. The lag will be reinstated once the 7/1/19 rates are recalculated. All recoupments and/or shortages experienced by Providers will be adjusted in the system automatically upon implementation of the January 2019 rate.  Below is the DOH notice regarding the Medicaid Lag Removal:

NYS Department of Health
Office of Health Insurance Programs
Bureau of Residential Health Care Reimbursement

This note is to inform you that the Department has removed you from the Medicaid lag effective with cycle 2207 and plan to return you to the Medicaid lag when the July 1, 2019 rates are recalculated.  The table below provides a schedule for the upcoming cycles:
