We will be sending out friendly reminder emails periodically until we receive your registration or you notify the Department of a change in status.

THANSKGIVING IS ONLY 27 DAYS AWAY!! GIVE YOURSELF LESS STRESS THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!!  COMPLETE YOUR NHA REGISTRATION RENEWAL AS SOON AS YOU CAN!!

You can submit your renewal as soon as your 48 hours of continuing education is complete  (New administrators may have a reduced CEU requirement and should refer to Department correspondence.) These hours can ALL be completed on-line. To date, we have received almost 400 (64%) registrations from AORs for the 2020-2021 period.

Section 2896-g(5) of the New York State Public Health Law states that a practicing nursing home administrator who fails to apply and qualify for registration before the first day of the next ensuing biennial registration period shall be an illegal practitioner whose license may be suspended or revoked and who may be subjected to a civil penalty, censured or reprimanded by the Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators.  All administrator of records that filed after the December 31, 2017 due date for the 2018-2019 registration period were referred. Our bureau would like to continue receiving additional registrations as soon as possible to avoid referring illegal practitioners to the Board.  Our goal is to have 100% compliance from our AORs this registration period.

Please use the link below to access the application and follow the directions for “Registration Renewal”.  A new PDF fillable application replaces the previous Word Application for Registration as a Nursing Home Administrator.  Your application may be typed and saved on your computer. The application also includes directions, if you wish to become voluntary inactive.
