FQC Continues to Partner with Iroquois Healthcare Association Workforce Investment Organization to Fund and Deliver its Leadership Program

The Foundation for Quality Care is excited to announce our continuing partnership with the Iroquois Healthcare Association Workforce Investment Organization (IHA WIO), an initiative funded through the Medicaid Redesign Waiver which aims to retrain, recruit and retain healthcare workers in the long-term care sector, also known as the Workforce Investment Program.

Through this partnership, the FQC will provide three courses during the months of October and November. 

  • The Quality Improvement Series 4-Day Course, October 2-3 and November 6-7, 2019.  Location: Troy, NY.   Eligible participants are SNF LNHA, DON, Quality Specialists in the Northeast and Central Regions of NY.  For more information and brochure, click HERE.
  • The Director of Nursing Program 6-Day Course: October 1,8,22,29 and November 5 and 19, 2019. Location: Batavia, NY. Must be an RN employed in a skilled nursing facility in the Western or Central New York Regions. For more information and brochure, click HERE.
  • The Assisted Living Executive Director 5-Day Course: October 2,3 and November 7, 19 and 20, 2019.  Location: East Greenbush, NY.  Must be an Executive Director/Administrator at an assisted living facility in New York State. For more information and brochure, click HERE.

The Iroquois Healthcare Association (IHA) has been designated as a state Workforce Investment Organization (WIO) by the New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH).

IHA has extensive experience with development and implementation of healthcare workforce training initiatives.  IHA is a not-for-profit health care trade organization representing 54 hospitals and health care systems, including 25 nursing homes and 41 home care agencies.  For more information, please visit www.ihawio.org.  The FQC is proud to partner with them on these workforce initiatives.
