National Drug Take Back Day

The United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) has announced Oct. 27, 2018 as the next National Prescription Drug Take-Back day. As part of the public safety initiative, Long Term Care providers may dispose of potentially dangerous controlled substance via participation in this event.  

To participate, The NYS Department of Health Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement has provided the following forms that must be completed and submitted. 

The deadline date for the forms to be returned to your BNE regional office  is September 28, 2018.
