NYSDOH Releases Round II Capital Grant for Transformation Projects

The New York State Department of Health (DOH) has released the second phase of the Statewide Health Care Facility Transformation Program (SCHFTP) Request for Applications (RFA) on January 8, 2018. There is a total of $203,782,889 in available funds available under this RFA. Eligible applicants may submit awards for capital projects, debt retirement, working capital or other non-capital projects directly related to a capital project that facilitates healthcare transformation initiatives. This includes but is not limited to a merger, consolidation, acquisition or other activity intended to create a financially sustainable system of health care. Additionally, projects that preserve or expand essential healthcare services are given priority on a non-competitive, discretionary basis. DOH will be holding a webinar to review the RFA on January 31, 2018 and will accept questions from potential applicants by February 9, 2018. Please be advised that interested applicants will be required to be pre-qualified as a vendor on the New York State Grants Gateway prior to submission. Please note that projects that received awards under the Kings County Health Care Transformation or the Oneida County Health Care Transformation Program are not eligible to receive additional awards under this RFA.
