PBJ Update – Electronic Staffing Submission

Author: Nancy Leveille and Lisa Volk* Published in Clinical & Quality

On April 21, 2017, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued S&C: 17-25-NH on the Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ). In the memorandum, CMS notes that it will provide feedback to each facility through monthly Provider Preview reports available in CASPER to help with improved data submission. Providers are encouraged to review this data and make corrections for upcoming submission deadlines. CMS is also working on developing an off-site and on-site audit process that will be utilized to verify the accuracy of the data that is submitted.

2017 National Nursing Home Week Guide and Catalog Now Available!

Author:

The 2017 National Nursing Home Week (NNHW) Planning Guide and Product Catalog is now available online here.  Over the next couple of weeks, hard copies will be mailed directly to member centers.

During NNHW, May 14 to 20, 2017, skilled nursing care centers will unite under the theme, “The Spirit of America.” This theme underscores the bond between staff, volunteers and residents that capture the American spirit. Staff and residents view each other in the spirit of family. For staff, this reality is often a calling to a special mission and a life’s work.

Please visit the NNHW website here to download the new guide and to access other resources such as promotional graphics and a link to the AHCA store for 2017 products.

And don’t forget to “Like” the National Nursing Home Week Facebook page here for updates and to see what centers are planning during this special week - May 14 to 20, 2017.
