Nancy Leveille in Clinical & Quality

The Office of the Medical Inspector General has issued their 2018 State Fiscal Year (SFY) work plan. This work plan is informed by SFY 2018-2020 Strategic Plan and focused on 3 over-arching goals:

  1. Collaborate with Providers to Enhance Compliance
  2. Coordinate with Stakeholders to Identify Fraud, Waste and Abuse in the Medicaid Program
  3. Develop Innovative Analytic Capabilities to Detect Fraudulent or Wasteful Activities

There are a number of specific initiatives under each goal affecting Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living, Medicaid Managed Care, Home Health and Community-Based services. NYSHFA will monitor this initiative and alert our members to new activities related to each goal.
