2017 Nurse Educator Program - Call for Applications - Deadline April 12, 2017

We are pleased to announce the call for applications for the 2017 Spring and Summer Sessions of the Nurse Educator Program. The Spring session will be held on May 17-18 & June 22-23 and the Summer session will be held on July 19 - 20 & August 23 - 24 this year. This four day program is offered free of charge as part of the Foundation for Quality Care’s Departments of Health and Labor Health Workforce Retraining Initiative Grant. (Attendees are responsible for their travel costs and meals.)  The program is open to RN staff educators in skilled nursing facilities across most of New York (see Program Information Sheet for excluded counties as determined by the grant) and is being held at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, New York. This course is accepted by New York State as a qualifying “approved Train the Trainer course” for Nurse Aide Training Programs. Each session is limited to 15 participants. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance in mid-April.
