REMINDER - E-Prescribing: Where are You Now??

Author: Nancy Leveille and Lisa Volk* Published in Clinical & Quality

NYSHFA is continuing to work with the Governor’s office and legislators to make e-prescribing work effectively in SNF in New York State.

Our waiver for SNF is effective until March 2017. We want to gauge our members’ implementation ability and identify current barriers that still need to be resolved.

This survey should take no more than 5 – 10 minutes to complete. Your input is vital to our current conversations with the governor’s staff. Please complete attached survey. Thank you.

Author: Nancy Leveille and Lisa Volk* Published in Clinical & Quality

AHCA is currently accepting Poster Session proposals for the 2017 Quality Summit in Orlando, March 6-10th, 2017.

Tell us how you have employed either a QAPI or Baldrige approach to accomplish one of the AHCA or NCAL Quality Initiative goals.

Poster Sessions are excellent forums for communicating interventions, new models of service delivery, and innovative research projects. They provide a fun, interactive learning experience. This will be your opportunity to shine and share all of the great things that you've done at your center. It also provides a wonderful networking opportunity for everyone. All poster session participants will receive a certificate recognizing their participation and 4 will be chosen for a special moderated gallery walk.

To submit a proposal please complete the submission form on Survey Monkey. The deadline to submit is November 22nd, 2016. Applicants will be notified on December 14th, 2016. For questions contact Urvi Patel at upatel@ahca.org.

PBJ: Some Significant Slowdown of the Keyes and CASPAR Systems Being Reported

Author: Nancy Leveille and Lisa Volk* Published in Clinical & Quality

As the deadline approaches to have your first quarter Payroll Based Journal data uploaded to CMS, NYSHFA members are reporting periodic slowdown of the Keyes and CASPER systems. AHCA also has had similar reports and recently discussed this with CMS. CMS has recommended that SNF contact them at the QTSO helpdesk at help@qtso.com and provide them with specific details (time of issue, issue, the user ID for the individual) when these issues come up so that they can investigate with their technical team.
