2016 Audio Conference Announcement: A New Era in Healthcare

Author: CMP Scott Jackson

Join us on Thursday, April 7, 2016 for "A New Era in Healthcare: The Meaning of Bundled Payments & Value Based Purchasing" audio conference from 10:00am - 12:00pm.

Changes in reimbursement and compliance will impact all healthcare providers. Payment based on quality and service is not a new concept, but it's finally coming into play in health care. Delivery system reforms included in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act provide incentives for health care organizations to improve care coordination and quality and reduce costs—and penalties if they fail to do so. These provisions include pilot projects to test bundled Medicare payments and new value-based purchasing regulations. The goal is to create integrated delivery systems that are more accountable to their communities and to make providers assume greater financial risk. NYS takes an active role in both bundled payment and value based purchasing (DSRIP) and skilled nursing facilities are not immune to any of these ongoing initiatives. The interactive panel will discuss:

-    BPCI and CCJR Pilot and what they mean as far as rules, comparisons and relationships with other providers.
-    Details of CCJR bundled payments. What every skilled nursing facility needs to know.
-    What is Value Based Purchasing and what value does skilled nursing bring to this initiative?

Deanna Stephenson, Director Managed Programs, NYSHFA / NYSCAL
Matt McGarvey, Director Business Development, Harmony Healthcare International
