AHCA’s Update on Payroll Based Journal

Nancy Leveille and Karen Morris in Clinical & Quality

AHCA has been actively working on the issues related to CMS’ proposed Payroll Based Journal Program (PBJ). The following is an update received today from them:

AHCA wanted to send one communication that had everything we were doing in relation to PBJ. Attached are copies of letters to and from CMS about the Electronic Data Submission (a.k.a.: PBJ) process, and a list of vendors who have a solution with notation as to who is an AHCA/NCAL Associate Business Member (ABM). Attached are three documents:

  • Two letters AHCA sent to CMS asking for delay in PBJ implementation and other changes
  • One letter from CMS in response to the first AHCA letter

We also have posted on AHCA’s website a list of Time & Attendance vendors who have solutions to submit data to CMS. We will update this list on a regular basis. If you see any inaccuracies on the list please send that information to Sharon Purvis.

In addition, you can register for our upcoming PBJ webinar on March 24 from 2pm – 3pm Eastern Time that will have representatives from Kronos and OnShift describing the steps and challenges members are facing when trying to submit data to CMS. They will not be promoting their solutions specifically but will make some references to their products. Both are AHCA/NCAL ABM members.

NYSHFA staff will participate in the webinar, but encourage others to begin exploring some of these vendors’ services. They have been providing free webinars on their products
