AHCA Memo - Final Two Weeks to Submit Comments to CMS on Proposed Rule

Karen Morris and Nancy Leveille in Clinical & Quality

NYSHFA received the below e-mail update from AHCA/NCAL:

We are getting down to the final two weeks before the comment period closes. As you and your teams head into the Labor Day weekend, getting comments filed with CMS should be on the top of your mind in order to ensure that your voice is heard by the September 14 deadline.

As of this morning, 1,159 comments on the proposed rule have been filed with CMS, but we need thousands more! Upon review, it's clear that most of these comments are coming from providers. We are proud that our members are making their voices heard. We need you to help push this effort over the top. Please take the time over the next few days to submit a comment.

On AHCA's RoP comments dedicated webpage, we have added the link to the CMS website that lists all the comments submitted to date. If you still need help crafting a message, reviewing some of these might provide you with an idea or two. Just click on the state abbreviation above each comment to see the full message.

We know it's important to you that CMS hears your voice, but as additional incentive we will recognize everyone who filed a comment with a special badge ribbon at AHCA/NCAL's annual Convention this October in San Antonio. Please just let us know you've done your part by completing our survey. If your facility has 10 or more commenters, you are also eligible to be entered into a drawing for a free iPad!

Thank you to everyone who has joined together to make our voices heard at CMS already. Your participation will have a profound impact on the final CMS rule. Collectively, we make a real difference. Together we can win.
