Dr. Albert Riddle will present several case studies designed to illustrate how adverse events such as medication errors, rehospitalizations, sepsis and other negative outcomes that effect a facility's quality measures, liability and survey compliance, can be prevented though early identification of the "warning signs."   Using the OIG report and the QAPI methodology, Dr. Riddle will use his many years of experience as a Medical Director to discuss clinical cases and guide participants through a systematic approach to identify and prevent adverse events to improve quality of life and care for residents in long term care.

Meet Marilyn… Our August Art from the Heart Artist

Author: Gayle Farman

Marilyn Banach, 84, is our August "Art from the Heart” artist.  She has been a resident of Absolut Care of Aurora Park since her stroke.  Marilyn was inspired by her two wonderful high school art teachers.  “After my stroke, I couldn’t believe I could relearn to paint using the two useful fingers on my right hand,” Marilyn said.  What she most enjoys is deciding what she is going to paint, and keeping up with the request from friends and family.

A minute of your time, and a small contribution… will help us deliver this person-centered slide show to honor more artists like Marilyn.
