Universal Settlement (US) – Audit Discontinuation Request

Carl J. Pucci in Finance & Reimbursement

Due to confusion surrounding OMIG’s requirement to identify any non-final audits that pertain to issues INCLUDED in the Universal Settlement, the state has extended the deadline for these submissions to April 20, 2015.  (OMIG audits commenced and presently in process that a facility believes should be discontinued because the subject audit is part of the Universal Settlement should be disclosed.)

We recommend that homes submit this information in the body of an e-mail titled “Audit Discontinuation List” to Richard J. Zahnleuter, Director, Bureau of Litigation in the DOH Division of Legal Affairs at richard.zahnleuter@health.ny.gov.

Please note that OMIG has suspend pending audits through April 24, 2015, such that no new final audit reports will be issued in the interim.

In addition, if there are any homes that have still not submitted a list of open appeals and litigation that should be excluded from the Universal Settlement, please do so as soon as possible.
