Clinical Practice Alert – Advanced Directives (CPR/DNR)

Karen Morris and Nancy Leveille in Clinical & Quality

In an effort to draw attention to issues of utmost clinical and survey importance, we are initiating a CLINICAL PRACTICE ALERT process whereby we will periodically re-issue policies on specific issues of concern and recommend steps your team can take to review your current policies and procedures. The first is related to facility systems for advanced directives as it relates to CPR/DNR orders, policies and procedures.  This alert is intended to be used in conjunction with the reference cited. In addition to this alert, we have scheduled a webinar on July 30 entitled "CPR: Is Our System In Order?" to discuss the regulatory and clinical issues related CPR/DNR and F 155 Advanced Directives. Speakers will include DOH survey staff.
