Medical Director Guidelines and Quality Improvement Process: Phase II Free Training for Your Team

As announced in Member Mailing of February 19, 2014, DOH has released Civil Monetary Penalty dollars to enhance the Medical Services and team process in SNF across NYS. 50 SNFs will have the ability to be selected as an Education, Training, and Technical Assistance (ETTA) SNF and receive additional training and coaching. These next scheduled regional sessions will provide detailed information about ETTA project. Nursing home leadership teams will learn the key elements of the Nursing Home Medical Director and Attending Physician Guidelines and discuss the value of and strategies for implementing them. This session will also help leaders assess organizational strengths and areas for opportunity related to the guidelines, and evaluate interest in participating as one of the 50 SNFs statewide in the grant-funded project. Dates and Regional Locations are as follows:

  • March 18:  New York City
  • March 19:  Long Island
  • March 24:  Syracuse
  • March 25:  Batavia
  • April 3:  Albany
  • April 4:  Lake Placid
