Medicaid Provider Assessment Reduction Proposal

Esq. Stephen B. Hanse in Legislative

AHCA is requesting NYSHFA members to contact their local members of Congress to oppose legislative efforts in Washington to reduce the maximum allowable Medicaid provider assessment rate or quality assessment fee.  Specifically, a recent federal budget proposal recommended reducing the maximum provider assessment fee from 6% to 5.5% as part of the debt ceiling debate.  This decrease would have a direct impact on how providers care for patients.

Please click here to contact your member of Congress and request their opposition to any reduction in the Medicaid provider assessment rate or quality assessment fee.
