Audio Conference Announcement: Government Enforcement Trends and Best Practices

CMP Scott Jackson in Education

Join us on September 24, 2013 for "Government Enforcement Trends and Best Practices" from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm audio conference presented by Brian M. Feldman, Esq., Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, Rochester, NY.

Program

New York State and the Federal Government continually scrutinize long-term care facilities for compliance with a patchwork of laws, rules and regulations.  In addition, the False Claims Act empowers whistleblowers to file suit on behalf of the Government and receive a substantial bounty.  This session focuses on the current priorities of state and federal law enforcement, including the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and the U.S. Department of Justice, in policing long-term care facilities and offers practical advice for avoiding and surviving government investigations.

Key Topics to be Discussed:

  1. Recent government enforcement trends or priorities.
  2. Best practices for avoiding government investigations and/or whistleblower suits.
  3. Best practices for responding to government investigations and/or whistleblower suits.
