Would you like to participate on a NYSHFA Committee?

Richard Herrick and Greg Chambery in Membership

The Committee process is a vital part of the NYSHFA organizational structure allowing for a broad range of ideas and input from our membership. We welcome your participation on one or more of the following Committees during 2013 – 2014.

Ethics & Grievance

Clinical & Quality Services

Legal Action

Constitution & ByLaws

Membership Marketing & Public Relations

Payment for Services

Please note that the C.A.R.E, Legislative and Payment for Services Committees are selected by District Presidents.  If you have interest in serving on one of these committees please contact your District President.

Committee meetings are typically scheduled on a quarterly basis with some being held via conference call and/or at regional video conference sites to reduce your time commitment and associated costs while others will be held in our office.  Those held in our office usually take place between 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. A complete copy of the Committee/Task Force Policy is attached along with the Committee Descriptions which provide an overview of the charge of each committee.

Your District President has received a copy of the current committee membership for your District. Current committee members are asked to contact their President directly to confirm interest in continuing as a committee member. If you are not currently serving on a committee and would like to be part of the process that drives the Association and significantly impacts long term care throughout New York State, we urge you to contact your President or complete the on-line Committee Interest Indicator by August 9, 2013.
