Statewide Gold Stamp Conference: September 17, 2013

Nancy Leveille and Gayle Farman in Clinical & Quality

We are happy to announce our statewide conference on preventing and treating pressure ulcers.  This conference is going to highlight the work of our NYS Health Foundation and the Medicaid Redesign Team grant funded collaboratives’ (SNF, Hospital and Home Care staff) work over the last 18 months.  These teams have developed some very innovative ideas to reduce pressure ulcer development; improve communication across the health continuum; and set standard treatment protocols together.  Alice Bonner, PhD, RN, the Deputy Regional Director for the Northeast Division of Quality Improvement, Survey and Certification, CMS, will be the Keynote speaker along with a message from Nirav R. Shah, MD,MPH, Commissioner of Health, NYS.  Registration costs are low due to the support of the NYS Health Foundation and the NYS MRT grant.  There are some new grant funds available, but we also want to continue to demonstrate the need for ongoing grant funding for the formation of new collaboratives.  We strongly encourage facilities interested in starting a Gold STAMP program to attend and bring your clinical staff.  Click here for registration information.

Come and hear all about these exciting activities.
