May RAI Manual Update – CMS Identifies Error

CMS has identified an error on page 5-2 of the RAI User’s Manual for the MDS 3.0 that was updated in May. Under Completion Timing, the second bullet currently states:

“For the admission assessment, the MDS Completion date (Z0500B) must be no later than 13 days after the Assessment Reference date (ARD) (A2300.) This is an error, it should read:

“For the admission assessment, the MDS Completion date (Z0500B) must be no more than 13 days after the entry date (A1600).

CMS: Webinar Series Available On-Demand - F-309 Topics

CMS recently released new surveyor guidance to assess compliance with F309 and F329 as they relate to residents with dementia and use of antipsychotic drugs.  AHCA is offering a series of 6 brief, fast-moving and content-rich webinars to help your nursing center ensure that you are well-prepared for these changes.  Webinars will be grounded in a Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) approach and provide strategies for achieving compliance with the new guidance.  Each webinar is 30-minutes or less and will be available on-demand.
