This program will highlight the state and national initiative to reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and the value of, and role for, Skilled Nursing Facilities. The Implementation of the INTERACT Program will be a focus along with ideas to assess your facility and staff readiness and processes to ensure positive outcomes.

In January, Nancy Leveille, RN, MS, Sr. Director Member Operational Support Services, NYSHFA; Karen Morris, RN, MS, Director, Clinical and Quality Services, NYSHFA and Shelly Glock, LNHA, MBA, IPRO, were selected to attend a four day intensive INTERACT Train the Trainer Program presented by Dr. Joseph Ouslander and his team. This curriculumn was designed with assistance from Sara Butterfield, RN, BSN, CPHQ, CCM, IPRO; Christine Stegel, RN, MS, CPHQ, IPRO; Sharon Carlo, RN, LNHA, The Reds Group and Dr. Albert Riddle, President & CEO, Riddle Medical Group who will all serve as presenters.
