The AMDA Foundation is providing an opportunity for 1000 facilities across the country to receive free influenza vaccine. See article below for further information.

Free Flu Shots for Your Nursing Home Staff

As your facility plans for the next influenza (flu) season please consider participating in an flu study that will provide your facility staff with free vaccinations, as well as immunizations for residents without reimbursement paperwork. A Brown University research team led by Stefan Gravenstein, MD, MPH, CMD, and Vincent Mor, PhD, are facilitating a study aimed at determining if different influenza vaccines produce different outcomes in nursing facility residents.

Researchers are recruiting 1,000 facilities and the AMDA Foundation will receive a donation for each facility participating as an AMDA Foundation study site. Therefore, please indicate that you were referred by the AMDA Foundation. This is a great opportunity to participate in long term care research while helping support the mission of the AMDA Foundation. Participating facilities can earn up to $500 for providing 5 months of vaccination data entry and will be asked to use either the standard dose annual trivalent influenza vaccine or the high dose trivalent influenza vaccine. Both vaccines are recommended by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for annual protection against influenza infection in adults. Click here for the study synopsis.

For more information or to sign up for the study, contact Insight Therapeutics, LLC at 757-625-6040 or edavidson@inther.com. Please note that you must identify your facility as an AMDA Foundation study site in order for the Foundation to receive the donation for your participation. Read more here.
