State to Launch Web Based Grant Management System

Gayle Farman & Rick Patterson in Foundation for Quality Care News

New York will launch Grants Gateway, a new web-based grants management system beginning in Spring 2013. This will have similar features to the federal grants.gov portal. The new system will roll out the following features:

  • Opportunity Portal (Spring 2013) - a simple way to search for available and anticipated grant opportunities. Organizations can register to receive notification when specific types of grant opportunities are posted.
  • Document Vault (Spring 2013) – a secure online document repository for the grantees to store and share commonly requested documents with State agencies.
  • Online Contracts (Fall 2013) – ability for grantees to apply for grants online, develop and execute contracts online
  • Online Claims (Fall 2013) – ability to submit request for payment and the supporting documentation online and track status.

Organizations will have to register for access to the system by April 25, 2013. Click HERE for a copy of the registration form

A NYS Master Contract for Grants has been issued by all grant-making state agencies, and it is anticipated that state agencies will begin executing grant contracts on line in the coming year.
